Join your neighbors in celebrating the Reason for the Season. The 3rd Annual Nativity Lighting & Caroling Event will begin at 5:00pm on Sunday Dec. 3 at St. Scholastica Church, 8201 W. Outer Drive, Detroit, 48219. There will be caroling, a short program, door prizes, gift bags, refreshments and prayer teams. This is sponsored by the One in the Spirit Family of Parishes.
The Christmas Party will be held in the gym this year. The parish will provide the main dishes from Corsi's of roast chicken, pasta marinara and beverages. We are asking YOU to potluck side dishes and desserts. There will be a Christmas sing along, activities for the children and a special visit from Santa. Save the Date for our annual Holy Thursday Communal Meal, we will gather in the school gym at 5:45pm. The meal and prayer will begin at 6:00pm. The meal will be followed by the Holy Thursday Mass in the church. The parish will provide lamb, rice, matzoh, wine, juice, coffee and tea. We are counting on you to provide sides and desserts. A free will offering will be collected to help defray the cost of the meal. Any overage will be donated to the Corpus Christi Food Pantry.
