Becoming Catholic
The
Rite of
Christian
Initiation of
Adults--
RCIA
Persons who are interested in the Catholic Faith are invited to learn more about our faith in God and how we live it out in the Catholic Church. They are invited to participate in a process called The
Rite of
Christian
Initiation of
Adults –
RCIA. They attend weekly classes and participate in liturgical ceremonies that ritualize their progress in the faith. This process is based on conversion and leads to celebrating the Easter sacraments: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
For those already baptized in another Christian denomination, a Profession of Faith is made along with the reception of the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. Note: This process is also adapted for school-age children.

Really
Clear
Interesting
Accepting
The presenters are really clear in their explanation of the truths of the Catholic faith. The journey of faith towards God and the concepts presented are very interesting. The parishioners leading the sessions are accepting of each individual participant and whatever stage of faith development one is currently experiencing. This is a journey of love of Christ and incorporation into the faith community of the Catholic Church.
