This week, pray everyday asking the Lord Jesus to put a new love in your heart and the hearts of all of us at Corpus Christi that leads us to invite others to encounter Jesus and the gift of His presence at Corpus Christi as well.
“Everyone Invites”
During his homilies at each of the weekend Masses last weekend, Dcn Aaron introduced our new parish “Thematic Goal”: “Everyone Invites”. One of the concepts he shared with us was about a very simple gesture that we can use to invite people to get to know the Lord … yes, here, at Corpus Christi. The gesture? Simply giving a friend or co-worker or neighbor or family member or somebody we just met a simple little (two-sided) card like the following:
At Mass we were able to pick up little packets of ten cards so that we could share them when the opportunity struck. Cards will continue to be available for quite some time. May you be blessed with several opportunities to offer a card to another person!

Liturgy of the Word with Children
Beginning the first Sunday of Lent we will resume the Liturgy of the Word with Children at the 11:00 Mass. We need volunteers to help with this ministry. If you want to share your faith with children in this ministry, contact Sr. Therese at [email protected].
Emmaus Faith Sharing Groups
Everyone is invited to participate in our Lenten Emmaus Faith Sharing Groups. The groups will begin the week of February 28. Groups meet on various days and at different times during the day, via zoom or in-person. Our theme this year is Living the Eucharist. The weekly topics are: - I Give You My Word

Generations of Faith: Encounter Jesus
Meet Fr. Bernie Owens, SJ, a member of the Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits). He ministered at Manresa Jesuit Retreat Center in Bloomfield Hills for 19 years where he was Director of the two-year Internship in Ignatian Spirituality which prepared people for various church ministries. 
Fr. Owens is the author of the book More Than You Could Ever Imagine: On Our Becoming Divine and a soon to be completed book Realizing Our Deepest Desires: Journeying into the Joy of God/Reflections on Teresa of Avila’s The Interior Castle.
Fr. Owens will help us Encounter Jesus in Forgiveness: the forgiveness we receive from others, from God; the forgiveness we ask from other people, from God. Forgiveness is a process not a moment, he says. Why is it so difficult to forgive we might wonder?
Join us Sunday Feb. 27th after the 11 am Mass (12:30- 1:40 pm).
A snack before the presentation will be provided! The presentation will also be Livestreamed through the parish website and recorded for later viewing.
Children and teens have two options for their next Encounter with Jesus:- In-person on Sunday February 27th from 12:25 to 1:40 pm with a snack provided. Children in rooms 3 & 4 of the school and teens in the Activity Center.
