6. Generations of Faith
The weather outside may be frightful, but inside our church & school it is delightful!
Join us on Sunday January 21 from 12:30 – 1:45 pm for the next Generations of Faith session to experience the warmth! Stay for a hot lunch until 2:45 pm in time to get home to watch the Detroit Lions play at 3pm! Warmth for the soul with Fr. Jim Lowe, CC, presenting reflections on the Liturgy of the Eucharist: The Lamb of God our Passover. Meal or Sacrifice? Teen Topics: The Paschal Banquet and Sacrifice Primary and Middle School: Jesus Gives His Life for Us and Jesus, the Lamb of God Information on Safety: Part of the session for children and teens will include a presentation
on safety. The Archdiocese of Detroit is currently using the program, Empowering God’s
Children, by VIRTUS. Each class will study the topic, Physical Boundaries: Safe and Unsafe
Touching Rules. We hope all children and teens will be able to attend. If your child is not able
to attend and you would like the information to share with them, please contact Sr. Therese. Warmth for the Body: Returning from last year is caterer Platinum Dish serving a hot lunch at 1:55 pm. Eucharistic Adoration
One of the greatest treasures of the Catholic faith is the Eucharist. Ever since the Last Supper, the Catholic Church has believed that the Eucharist is truly the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ. You are invited to come and spend time in adoration with Jesus at Corpus Christi as we begin to offer these new time slots for adoration. Ideally, we will have two people in the church before Jesus whenever adoration happens. On our parish website you will see two slots for each time. Please know that if the slot is filled there will still be plenty of room in church for you!
