1. Today: The Nativity of St. John the Baptist
Holy Coincidence! Today we celebrate St. John the Baptist’s birth, six months before we celebrate the birth of Jesus. In the Gospel of John 3:30, St. John the Baptist tells his listeners: “He must increase; I must decrease.” John the Baptist had done his job as getting people to repent and he was recommending that they now follow Jesus. Coincidently, St. John’s birthday occurs at the beginning of Summer when all the days start growing shorter [decreasing]. Jesus was born at the beginning of Winter when all the days start growing longer [increasing].
May Jesus continue to grow and grow in each of us!

Patrick presented a great deal of information about the Family of Parishes and how our family is making progress towards the official start date of July 1st. YOU are more than welcome back to in-person Mass attendance. Our attendance is again increasing, our choirs can be larger now, Holy Communion is being distributed again from the front of the aisles, AND we are still using the medical grade air purifiers!

5. Video of the Second Gathering of Parishes of our Family
Last Friday our Family of six parishes had its second Gathering of Parishes. It was held at St. Juan Diego parish. The gathering aimed to deepen our new, faith-founded relationships and to help us begin to grow together as disciples. 7. Summer Camp Sign-up!
In a few weeks, the Northwest Detroit Youth Coalition (NWDYC) will host its annual 4-week summer camp!
This year Camp will run from July 7 - July 30 and registration will once again be FREE OF CHARGE!!!
Instruction will be provided in a hybrid format - with two days/week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) of interactive/on-line content, and a half-day in person session on the Fridays during the month of July. Interactive instruction in Arts and Crafts, Exercise, Tennis, Aikido (Martial Arts), Drumline, Hip Hop Dance, Basketball and more will offered!!!

8. Renewal of the Mind: Fr. Patrick’s 60-second daily videos and 30-minute weekly Radio Broadcasts
Fr. Patrick’s daily video draws guidance for the day from the Mass Scriptures of the day. The message is there … 60 seconds …POW!
The newer item is the 30-minute weekly audio broadcast. It can be reached at any time of day or night, any day of the week.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 8:30am Mass
[Note: Friday, June 25th will be a Communion Service]
Saturdays: 1:00 – 3:45pm – Confessions in Reconciliation Rm in church.
