Next Sunday’s Gospel: Luke 15:1-3, 11-32 The Prodigal Son
This Week’s Fr. Patrick Holy Homework
Try to keep this simple prayer in your heart and on your lips throughout the week:
Bless the Lord my soul, All my being bless His Holy name!
Psalm 103
Please join with Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron and the priests of the Archdiocese of Detroit, in communion with Pope Francis, bishops and priests around the world, to pray the Rosary on Friday, March 25th at 11:40am followed by the Prayer of Consecration at 12 noon, to correspond with 5pm in Rome when Pope Francis will consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Each year during the season of Lent, the Corpus Christi Parish Social Justice Committee raises funds and awareness for worthy causes with our Lenten “Soup” Meal.
This year, in collaboration with the Ladies of St. Peter Claver Unit #247, we are having a Lenten “Hot Dog” Meal to support our sisters and brothers in the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux in Louisiana, particularly St. Lucy and St. Mark Parish’s, who have been effected by Hurricane Ida.
On March 26th after the 4pm mass and March 27th after both the 9am and 11am masses, we will have a Lenten Hot Dog Meal which includes a premium beef Hot Dog, your choice of chips, and a beverage all for $5, and best of all, 100% of the funds raised will go directly to support our sisters and brothers in need.
Romans 12:12 says, “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer”.
Join us in bringing hope, love, and peace to our extended family in need by supporting these efforts to bring the healing power of Jesus through your acts of Almsgiving.
