1. Fr. Patrick’s Holy Homework Prayerfully read St. Paul’s “Letter to the Philippians”. It’s brief and full of blessings!
2. Fr. Patrick & CSA A big thank you to those who have contributed to the 2020 CSA so far; our goal this year is $43,000. This year, the Archdiocese is asking that CSA checks be made out to The Archdiocese of Detroit and then indicate “CSA” in the lower left memo line of your check. 4. Families of Parishes – September Update As you know, priests in the archdiocese have been meeting every month to pray, learn, and discuss the transition to Families of Parishes … Earlier this month, we were able to gather key leaders from the many groups which support and advise the Archbishop for a virtual meeting where they received an update on the progress of our efforts to move to Families.
The priests, vicars, and regional bishops are now finalizing the parishes within families, and the Governance Team is finalizing their recommendation to the Archbishop for the models of leadership that will be implemented in each family of parishes.
I invite you to please pray for the all involved as we are very close to finalizing some key decisions. —Deacon Mike Houghton, Director, Department of Missionary Strategic Planning
Please especially pray for the priests in our Vicariate as they meet this week to discern recommendations to the Archbishop.

If you have not registered (by noon on Saturday) to attend Mass in person and you still wish to attend a Mass at church this weekend please: - park in the parking lot a little ahead of Mass time, - go to the parking lot side entrance, - and ask the staff at that doorway if there is still available room. If there is room in church they will do a check-in process for you. Based on the slightly relaxed directions from AOD there is now more space available in the church to attend Mass in person.
