AMEN!
2. Generations of Faith
The Eucharist: In the Warmth of His Presence
Generations of Faith 2023/24
Pope Frances: “For in the warmth of His presence, our lives change.” (June 19, 2022)
Looking back: Last Sunday about 55 adults along with 20 young people attended the first Generations of Faith Session where we listened, learned, discussed, and prayed together. The personal reflections for the adults and teens included:
** remembering the stories of our own baptism and the grace of baptism (WATER)
** sharing our favorite scripture and the blessing of a scripture passage (WORD)
** an experience of loving adoration (WORSHIP).
Thank you to Fr. Patrick for his insights and for the reflective discussion questions.
The middle school children shared with the whole group their lesson on forgiveness and the first part of the Mass where we ask for God’s mercy.
Looking ahead…save the date: The next Session of Generations of Faith is Sunday, October 29th where we will dig deeper into the Word of God.
3. Registering for Children’s Sacrament Preparations

Below is a button with a link to a registration form on our parish website. The form can also be used for registering for other children’s programs, such as Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
Detroit Black Catholic Ministry of the Archdiocese of Detroit is introducing The Tolton Project!
Many African American Adults do not attend Church – some left church after high school, some have never been to church, and one article in the Michigan Chronicle said even that the church has left them.
Named after the Venerable Fr. Augustus Tolton, candidate for sainthood, the Tolton Project will work to establish pathways to encourage the reintroduction of young adults back into the Church, with a focus on the many gifts they bring to help us build the Body of Christ.

October Women’s Day of Reflection
Please Join in the Following Prayer!
CORPUS CHRISTI “WOMEN’S DAY OF REFLECTION” Saturday, October 21, 2023
Novena to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
O Most Blessed Mother, Heart of Love, Heart of Mercy, ever listening, caring, consoling, hear our prayer. As your children, we implore your intercession to Jesus, your Son. Receive with understanding and compassion the petitions we place before you today; for the women of Corpus Christi, and all women who will attend the Corpus Christi “Women’s Day of Reflection”; that they will be uplifted and filled with the Holy Spirit. Comforted in knowing your heart is ever open to those who seek thy intercession, we entrust to your intercession those we love and those who are sick, lonely, or hurting. Intercede for us Holy Mother of God, to bear our burdens in this life until we may share eternal life with God forever. Amen.

Eucharistic Adoration
The Eucharist is being exposed on the altar in church on the following schedule: Tuesdays: 6:00pm – 8:30pm
[Note: that’s a usual time for our neighborhood
Evangelization efforts so prayer support is appreciated!]
Thursdays: 9:15am – 12:15pm
[Note: Holy Hour for Priestly Vocations from 9:15am – 10:15am]
One of the greatest treasures of the Catholic faith is the Eucharist. Ever since the Last Supper, the Catholic Church has believed that the Eucharist is truly the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ. You are invited to come and spend time in adoration with Jesus at Corpus Christi as we begin to offer these new time slots for adoration. Ideally, we will have two people in the church before Jesus whenever adoration happens. On our parish website you will see two slots for each time. Please know that if the slot is filled there will still be plenty of room in church for you!
