1. Family of Parishes Survey – thanks for your input! Thank you for taking a bit of your time to answer the survey questions on this new AOD plan for grouping three to six parishes into families. Please continue your prayers for blessings on this new effort.
2. God Sightings! Several years ago, here at Corpus Christi, we invited our members to share some of their experiences of the Lord working in their lives. One time we called it “God Sightings” and another time we called it “I Witness”. It was a joy to see and hear about the experiences. We would like to invite YOU to consider telling us of your experiences with the Lord. Here are the questions we used previously:
Did you have an experience of God recently? How so?
Did God use someone to bless you recently? (Whether they knew it or not!) In what way?
Were you able to be a blessing to someone else this week? In what way?
When we did this last time, we put the questions on a half a sheet of paper. We did not expect lengthy answers … just little short stories. This time you can just send us an email. If you would like to see the past stories you can visit our Corpus Christi website by clicking on the red button below. If you would like to tell us of your recent story simply email it to the Evangelization Committee care of: [email protected]. Thanks already! And, yes, we would like you to include your name … but it is optional!
3. Commentary by Archbishop Vigneron on Racism “Racist and derogatory speech wrongfully diminishes the God-given dignity of others. It is not in accord with the teachings of Christ. As our nation continues its important conversation on racism, it is my hope that the faithful will turn from this and all other acts or attitudes which deny the inherent dignity shared by all people."
Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron June 11, 2020
4. Our Weekend Masses – 9:00am Mass will be livestreamed: Our Masses are the usual: Saturday, 4pm; Sunday 9am and noon. The livestreaming of this weekend’s Mass will again be 9:00am Sunday morning. Click on the button below for viewing the Mass. [Videos of Masses from prior weekends are also available at this site]
If you have not registered (by noon on Saturday) to attend Mass in person and you still wish to attend a Mass at church this weekend please: - park in the parking lot a little ahead of Mass time, - go to the parking lot side entrance, - and ask the staff at that doorway if there is still available room. If there is room in church they will do a check-in process for you. Based on the slightly relaxed directions from AOD there is now more space available in the church to attend Mass in person.
