Confirmation, together with Baptism and Eucharist, form the Sacraments of Initiation that are all intimately connected. In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is “sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit” and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ. (United States Catholic Catechism for Adults)
Preparation Classes to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation
Confirmation is a sacrament that fills us with the Holy Spirit and prepares us to live the Christian life to the fullest. Young people may enrol for sacarametn preparation when they are in the eight grade or high school.
Young people who may have received Confirmation at an earlier age may also participate in the classes in order to increase their understanding of the sacrament and their responsibilities as Catholic Christians. This is an opportunity for our young people to understand the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives and to realize what responsibilities they have as Catholic Christians to God, to family, to the Church and to society.
Confirmation sessions are usually held twice a month at Corpus Christi on Sunday afternoons, with special acitivies with the other vicariate parishes monthly. Please check the Confirmation Calendar (on the left) for exact times and dates.
