Welcome to the Corpus Christi links section! To your right you will find 28 links to a variety of Catholic-themed websites that are worthy to explore. Over time we will give our readers some site descriptions and even some explicit recommendations. Here are some current recommendations for your viewing.
- Examen – This exercise is a product of St. Ignatius of Loyola. It is generally used at the end of the day as a time to examine how things went that day. It is simply four questions to reflect on events of that day. Actually, the fourth question is about tomorrow! That's right ... the same four questions everyday. A simple form is offered for your daily note-taking.
- The God Minute – This is a 10 minute daily commentary. Its roots are with the Vincentians (Society of St. Vincent de Paul). On Fridays they include music as part of that time. Click on the link to the right. When you get to the page, click on the small photo of a computer, etc. That will take you to a selection of that day's program and programs from prior days.
- FORMED.ORG – A huge variety of prayerful, educational and motivational topics. See the link below the FORMED.ORG link for how to create an account. One of the favored items is FORMED-Daily, a 4-minute commentary on the Scriptures of the day.
- Loyola Press 3-Minute Retreat – A verse from Scripture, a meditation, some probing questions and a closing prayer … optional music!
- The Sunday Website – generally a dozen short articles from a variety of perspectives on the Sunday Scriptures
- AOD Unleash the Gospel – Archdiocese of Detroit’s priority program for Evangelization here in the 21st century
- USCCB/United States Conference of Catholic Bishops – very broad content with very easy access to the books of the Bible and to the Scriptures of the day.
