Lenten Season Planning
Zoom Together!
Last fall thirteen parishioners on Zoom reflected on the Advent Scriptures and offered Corpus Christi a phrase to ponder during Advent - Ignited by Hope: Christ Born Anew in Us.
Time to engage in a similar process for Lent, and you’re invited to participate with other parishioners.
The session will be virtual, via Zoom, on Saturday, January 23rd from 9 - 11 am. We will reflect on the message in God's Word found in the scriptures of the Lenten Season. All Scripture lovers welcome!
Schedule:
** Opening prayer
** Meaning of Lent
** Reading and reflecting on the Gospels of the season,
** Discerning together (led by Fr. Patrick) a focus for Lent 2021 at Corpus Christi.
For Zoom you will need a computer, tablet, or phone with audio (microphone). Video (camera) capabilities are helpful, but not necessary.

Gesu Nonviolence Series Continues
The nonviolence series that was interrupted last spring by the pandemic will continue virtually this month via Zoom. The Gesu Peace and Justice team will continue the series with four virtual programs on Wednesdays during January and February:- January 20th: “Black and Catholic in Detroit: Marred Past, Resilient Future” with John Thorne, former Gesu School parent, executive director of the Detroit Catholic Pastoral Alliance, and former Director of the Black Catholic Office.
- January 27th: “Relating Across the Divide: Getting to the Heart of the Matter” with Kim Redigan, UDJHS theology teacher and peace activist.
- February 3rd: “Gospel Nonviolence in the Life and Legacy of Daniel Berrigan, S.J.” with Rev. Bill Wylie Kellermann, Methodist minister, author and peace activist.
- February 10th: “Gandhi’s Contribution to the Development of Tactics of Nonviolent Activism” with Professor Gail Presbey, UDM professor and director of the CLASA center.

8. Liturgy schedule - weekdays
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:30am Mass
Saturdays: 1:00 – 3:00pm – Confessions in Reconciliation Rm in church

Our Masses are: Saturday, 4pm; Sunday, 11am. The 11am Mass is the Mass most often livestreamed.

- go to the parking lot side entrance,
- and ask the staff at that doorway if there is still available room.
If there is room in church they will do a check-in process for you.
