4. This Week’s Evangelization Suggestions Reach out to a lost friend. Ask how they’re doing and how you might pray for them during this uncertain time.
5. All Saints Day, Nov. 1st, Masses but not Obligatory November 1st, Solemnity of All Saints, falls on a Monday this year. It is not a Holy Day of Obligation. (AOD, Office of Sacred Worship, October 12, 2021). At Corpus Christi our Masses for that day are 8:30am and 7:00pm.
6. Prayer Perspective: “Over Time” “Into your hands I commend my spirit.”
3000 years ago, King David wrote those words in line 6A of Psalm 31.
2000 years ago, Jesus Christ prayed those words as he hung on the crucifix; Luke 23:46.
Every day, around the world, people praying Night Prayer in the Liturgy of the Hours say those same words again … and again … and again.
Any impact on me and my prayers?
The “Glory Be” prayer has a timeline even longer than 3000 years! Glory be the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, As it was in the beginning, Is now, And will be forever. Amen.
