1. Novena Prayers for FOP Commissioning
On Thursday, Oct. 7th there will be a Commissioning of Pastors Mass for our Family of Parishes. In order to ask the Lord for blessings on that event and on all the people effected by it, a Novena to the Immaculate Heart of Mary for the Family of Parishes is being recommended. Please see below for the novena prayers and then find time to offer up your prayers.

Jesus Christ God’s Son Savior
You’re invited to a Jewish wedding in the city of Cana. Ever wonder what a wedding celebration at the time of Jesus might look like? Let’s find out together by viewing an excerpt from The Chosen, a popular video series that portrays the life of Jesus and is biblically based, artistically enhanced. Here are two options to Encounter Jesus at the wedding feast: - In-person on Sunday, October 10 after the 11 am Mass (12:25-1:40 pm) in church with a snack provided. Sign up using the link below or at the back of church after Masses this weekend.
- At home through a link on the Corpus Christi website that goes “live” on October 10th.
Option 2 includes the video plus a panel discussion of parishioners (much like last year) for your personal reflection at home.
The children and teens also have two options for their Generations of Faith Encounter with Jesus:
1. In-person on Sunday October 10th in rooms 3 & 4 with teens in the Activity Center from 12:25 to 1:40 pm with a snack provided. Sign up using the link below or at the back of church.
2. At home through activities and videos using a link on the Corpus Christi website that goes “live” on October 10th.

From 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, Sept. 25th the Northwest Detroit Youth Coalition will offer the last session of the “Summer Safari Reading Series” in O’Hair Park at Edinborough & Pembroke. For more information contact Pat Tillery, Director NWDYC/Little Free Library at 313-414-3220.
7. 3-D is Back!
3-D -- Dissertation, Discussion, Dessert -- is back! All adults are invited to an exciting evening of viewing The Chosen, followed by discussion. The Chosen is a new video program that presents Jesus in a way that engages people to relate to Him in a meaningful, personal way.
Elaine O’Neill will lead the discussion in the Rainbow Room, 6:45 p.m.-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday October 5, 12, 19, 26 and November 2nd. Please call Elaine, 313-533-2010, if you have any questions.

“The Office of Black Catholic Ministry is looking to form a volunteer Advisory Board to serve a vital role in guiding the Office in the development of pastoral care and outreach to the Black Community in the Archdiocese of Detroit. The Board will not simply play an advisory role but will be actively involved in the development of projects and will advocate for the various needs within the community.”
