Purpose
The Stewardship Commission is concerned with the promotion of Christian stewardship as a way of life, and how living out our call to discipleship in service to the church and her members provide a living example by which the spirit of evangelization is witnessed.
Function
- Foster a parish environment in which Christian stewardship as a way of life is understood, accepted and practiced.
- Develop programs that allow parishioners to discern their God-given skills, talents and treasures to help the church
flourish by encouraging them to use the commitment forms.
- Plan, recommend and implement actions with the Pastor, Parish Council and Finance Committee to approve the most
effective use of parish resources.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Coordinate the annual parish Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) campaign following guidelines in the Archdiocese of
Detroit manual.
- Coordinate all parish fundraising programs and activities in accordance with the Parish Council approval in line with
overall parish priorities and objectives.
- Assist in implementing Endowment Committee programs.
- Assist in managing the financial and property assets of the parish.
- Monitor funds distribution and application to the purposes of which it was given or intended.
The Corpus Christi Stewardship Commission meets at 7:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month except during the summer months of July & August.
